Nicole Escudero - Cherokee H.S.

"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do." - Eleanor Roosevelt

Hello, New Jersey!  My name is Nicole Escudero, and I am your 2008 NJASC Executive Board Member in charge of Special Projects.  I am a 17-year-old junior at Cherokee High School, located in the heart of Marlton, NJ!

Student Council is one of the reasons I get up and go to school everyday.  Student Council has taught me leadership, dedication, time management, responsibility and teamwork.  Since sixth grade, I have been actively involved with Student Government. For the past two years at Cherokee, I have been Student Council's Secretary. I love working with my peers to help make our high school years even more enjoyable. Along with my studies and Student Council, I also participate in my school's Italian Club, SOS Club (Support our Soldiers), Class of '09 Advisory Board, fall and winter Student Athletic Training, Softball and the National Honor Society.

After graduating High School, I would like to attend college, study Kinesiology (the study of body movement in humans) and pursue a career in Cardiac Rehabilitation or Physical Education.

In Marlton, I have amazing friends and a family who I cherish. Outside of school, I play ASA Softball; volunteer at my community's Vacation Bible School and watch Criminal Minds or Pirates of the Caribbean (1, 2 & 3), every chance I get!

I am looking forward to working with the 2008 NJASC board and representing you, the students of New Jersey!  If you have any questions or concerns, email me at projects08@njasc.org, I would love to hear from you!
