Hello, New Jersey! I’m Alicia Valko, and I am your new 2008 Executive Member in charge of Publications! I just want to thank everyone who helped me achieve my goal of being part of the NJASC! To my parents, my family, my friends, my teachers / administrators, my wonderful adviser, and everyone who attended the election at TCNJ - thank you so much! I am absolutely ecstatic about my new position, and I can assure you that I will do everything in my power to make 2008 the best year ever!
I am currently a junior at Allentown High School where I’m a member of my Student Council! I’ve been in Student Council since freshman year, and I love it. I am always the first one to come to our daily homeroom meetings, and I’m always helping out. Beyond Student Council, I’m involved in some other great things. I play Field Hockey and am a member of EBASE, which is a business orientated group at school. Also, I was co-captain of my Relay for Life team this summer, Miles of Smiles! =) I really like volunteering, although I don’t get to do it nearly as much as I’d like.
So, I’m incredibly proud to have received my team’s spirit stick this year, in addition to the heart award, the noise maker, and the pom-pom! Let’s just say I’ve got lots of spirit! I love America’s Next Top Model, and everyone knows that I LOVE Tyra Banks! I like my birthday, July 15th! It’s exactly the middle of the year, and it happens to coincide with Session 2 of LTC! Speaking of LTC, I can’t wait to see all of you there this summer!
