Throughout the year, NJASC sponsors several events for students and advisors to come together. An annual summary of these major events is provided below. A calendar of Executive Board meetings is given in the sidebar at the left of this page.

Since 1927, each January the Student Council leaders of New Jersey and their advisors convene to elect their State Officers. Our annual Winter Convention provides...
- Nationally recognized motivational speakers
- Networking and a means for sharing ideas with schools throughout New Jersey
- Over thirty breakout sessions showcasing exemplary Student Council projects, with both students and advisors presenting
- Opportunities for advisors and other teaching professionals to receive Professional Development Hours
Online registration opens for this event in November, the fees for which are shown below. Please note that schools that have not paid their membership dues for the current year will have a higher student registration fee.

May - Spring Awards Program

Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson Township NJ






At this meeting, over four thousand students and advisors from throughout the state come together to recognize Student Councils for their community service, donations to the State Charity, and exceptional student leadership. After the awards program, attendees can enjoy the private access to rides and attractions.
- Registration: 8:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. (All tickets will be held at the NJASC ticket pick-up window and then given to the Great Adventure Guest Relations desk.)
- Opening Session - Great Arena: 9:45 a.m.
- Workshops - immediately following the Opening Session in the Great Arena.
- Garden of Eatin’ Area will be available for those who purchased the all-you-can-eat lunch
- Opportunities are provided for advisors and other teaching professionals to receive Professional Development Hours
- Park Closes at 6:00 p.m.
Online registration opens for this event in March, the fees for which are shown below. Please note that schools that have not paid their membership dues for the current school year will have a higher student registration fee.

The above fees include park admission. An all you can eat picnic lunch is provided for advisors, and is available to students for an addtional $15.00 per person.
June - NASC National Conference
74th annual NASC National Conference

The NJASC State Officers lead the New Jersey delegation of about forty students and advisors to this annual national event. At the NASC National Conference delegates and advisors meet, network, and share ideas with fellow leaders from across the United States and Canada.
The finest speakers from throughout the nation are showcased, and social activities throughout the conference make for an unforgettable experience. NJASC sponsored pre and post-trip activities enable the New Jersey delegation to bond and make friendships that last a lifetime.

Each July the annual NJASC Leadership Training Conference (LTC) brings together hundreds of students from across New Jersey for an experience second to none. The registration process for LTC consists of the following:
- Online registration by schools to reserve spaces in Session 1 or Session 2
- Initial online delegate registration by students to provide basic contact information.
- Access to download the Delegate Registration Form (PDF) is provided once initial online delegate registration has been submitted by a student.
- Completed and signed (advisor, principal) Delegate Registration Forms are mailed to the NJASC Southern Office at Palmyra HS.

- Nationally recognized motivational speakers
- Networking and a means for sharing ideas with schools throughout New Jersey
- An enjoyable reunion and leadership "booster" for students that attended our Leadership Training Conference (LTC).
- Opportunities for advisors and other teaching professionals to receive Professional Development Hours
- Students seeking to run for State Office and Student Councils participating in "Standards of Excellence" - an invaluable council idea exchange and evaluation program - are REQUIRED to attend special sessions conducted at this NJASC meeting.
