Michael Sole - Parsippany Hills H.S.
"Leadership is understanding people and involving them to help you do a job. That takes all of the good characteristics, like integrity, dedication of purpose, selflessness, knowledge, skill, implacability, as well as determination not to accept failure." - Admiral Arleigh A. Burke
Hello, New Jersey! My name is Michael Sole and I am overjoyed to have the privilege of working with the NJASC Executive Board. I am currently a junior at Parsippany Hills High School and I am on the football team. I have been on my school student council executive board since freshman year. This year I happen to be chairman of our State Board and CCS Committee, which helps me keep in even closer contact with the state student council.
Aside from being a student leader and an athlete I help out in my community as well. I am an altar server at my church, have been serving for 6 years now, and I wrap Christmas gifts for children that have AIDS during the holiday season. Also, in the summer I am a golf caddie. Even with all of these activities I still have kept up a high standard of grades, having made high honor roll my whole freshman and halfway through my sophomore year. As a result of my high school being very diverse I have a plethora of friends, which I believe enhances my personality. My friends find me to be funny and caring. I am a sports fanatic and a die-hard Atlanta Falcons fan, even though we have had some quarterback trouble (you know what I mean) lately.
I attended LTC once as a delegate and look forward to returning as an AA. As a leader I live by the philosophy of everything happens for a reason, and I am eager for another year of being involved with NJASC. You can contact me by e-mail at aamike@njasc.org.
Emily Morgan - Palmyra H.S.
"Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit." - Aristotle
Hello, New Jersey! My name is Emily Morgan and I’m delighted to have the opportunity of being an AA this year! I’m a sophomore at Palmyra High School. I have been an active member of Student Council since seventh grade and I was elected class president last year.
Student Council is a big part of my life, but I also play soccer and run distance track, am involved in Interact and Drama Club, and baby-sit. On top of that, I’ve somehow managed to maintain excellent grades. Sometimes it feels like a lot of work, but being involved with sports and different clubs let me get to have all different kinds of experiences. Also, whether its soccer or Interact, I’m used to helping in anyway I can, even if it’s just a long pass to give the goalie a break. It also helps that I’m usually very carefree and tend to mess around while working, so it’s more like hanging out than doing a job.
So, when I was given the opportunity of being an AA, I jumped. I love being involved with what is going on in the State Board and helping out Student Council on a bigger level. Even though the extracurricular things I do have all shaped me, I think I have to base who I am now on my friends and family. Both of them are amazing and I don’t know where I’d be without them.
I’m looking forward to being an AA and all of the life-long memories that will follow. If you want to contact me for anything you can e-mail me at aaemily@njasc.org.
Caitlyn Ziobro - Parsippany Hills H.S.
"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."
- Audrey Hepburn
Hey there, New Jersey! My name is Caitlyn Ziobro, and I'm so excited to be one of the AA's for the NJASC this year! Student council has always been a vital part of my life. I have been involved since middle school, this year I serve my high school's executive board as chairperson of the Leadership Committee. Being active in student council allows me to help make a difference, as well as to display myself as the leader I was meant to be.
I am currently a sophomore at Parsippany Hills High School. Along with student council I also love to act, sing, and dance. I am a member of my school's drama club, and have been starring in plays and productions since I was a little girl. I also volunteer at my church and help out my community as much as I possibly can. Reading and writing are what I love to do in my spare time, as well as spend time with my amazing friends! I strive to stay academically strong, and am on the high honor roll. Overall, I am a very outgoing, optimistic, and carefree person. Although I'm nearly always busy, I try to have fun wherever I go!
I am looking forward to working with all of you and making this year a memorable and successful one for the NJASC! If you would like to contact me with questions, ideas, or just to talk, my e-mail is aacaitlyn@njasc.org.
Stephanie Gates- Palmyra H.S.
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall." - Confucius
Hey, New Jersey! My name is Stephanie Gates (but most people call me Steph), and I'm ecstatic to be an AA for the NJASC this year! I am an active sophomore at my high school. Between field hockey, softball, drama, student council, debate team, and work, I'm busy throughout the entire school year. Other than being an AA for the NJASC, I am Vice President for my class and Historian in Charge of Publicity for my school. I somehow manage all of these activities and still find time to keep great grades and a decent social life...i think.Responsibility has always been a big part of my life. Whether it was in softball, babysitting, or simply helping to make big decisions, I've always stepped up to help and take charge when necessary. I work at my town's pharmacy, and my job gives me a great chance to excercise my responsible side.
I tend to be incessantly happy and upbeat, and it takes a lot for me to lose my cool. I guess I'm an optimist, because I'm always the one to say, "Well, look on the brightside - at least _______________ (enter problem)." I'm proud of who I am, and I owe a lot of it to my family and friends. They're incredible, and I mean that. They always support me no matter what my plans or ideas are, which is part of the reason why they mean so much to me. I like to live my life with no regrets, because if you dwell too much on what COULD have been, it can really rob you of the pleasure of basking in what is happening now. I think it's a good way to view and live life, because it's true. See? I told you I was an optimist.
Oh, and I am definitely a people person, so feel free to e-mail me at aasteph@njasc.org if you have any questions, comments, ideas, concerns, or if you just want to chat). I look forward to hearing from you!
Jen Pacek - Palmyra H.S.
“If you actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” - John Quincy Adams
Hey, New Jersey! My name is Jen Pacek and I am currently a sophomore at Palmyra High School in Palmyra, New Jersey. I am thrilled to be a part of the NJASC as an Administrative Assistant this year, and I am so grateful for this opportunity! Student Council has been an important part of my life since grade school as I served as secretary of my eighth grade class, and am now secretary of my ninth grade class.
As a dancer, soccer player, and basketball player for twelve years, I have grown accustomed to giving my all and doing my very best in anything and everything I do. I strive to excel in my school work as well as in the athletic arena. Being involved in school organizations is also a big part of my life. I am a member of the Interact club and REBEL, as well as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America.
I feel that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without my family and friends. Their love and support keep me going strong and I couldn’t be more blessed to have them in my life. I am looking forward to a successful year on the NJASC, and to making many wonderful memories. If you would like to contact me, my e-mail address is aajen@njasc.org.
Kelsey Bradley - Parsippany Hills H.S.
"Nothing is impossible. The word, itself, says "I'm Possible." - Audrey Hepburn
What's up, New Jersey? My name is Kelsey Bradley and I'm an active sophomore at Parsippany Hills High School. Being part of the NJASC is something I have strived for since my first Fall Conference at TCNJ when I was in 7th grade. I am more than thrilled and honored to be an AA this year! Student Council has always been a vital part of my life for many reasons, but most importantly it’s because I just love being a leader. For my age, I find myself very mature and responsible and I think that may be why being involved with state-wide student council as well as the student council in my high school is such a pleasure for me. Personally, the feeling of being involved, helping others, leading others, and inspiring others to get involved is all the satisfaction I need to know that I'm doing what I am meant to be doing.
Besides Student Council, my life is packed with activities such as playing soccer, running track, singing, participating in musicals, being active in clubs at my school, and working. Additionally, I work hard to achieve admirable grades. Even with all of that, I manage to surround myself with an absolutely amazing group of friends. Plus, I am blessed with great support from my family. All of the things that I have just listed are what make me the person I am today, and are shaping me into the person I will be in the future. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I know that this year is going to not only be a great success and accomplishment, but an experience that I will carry with me forever. If you would like to contact me with questions, ideas, or just to talk, my e-mail is aakelsey@njasc.org. I look forward to hearing from you guys!
Aman Shah - Parsippany Hills H.S.
“A leader is best when people barely know he exists, when his work is done, his aim fulfilled, they will say: we did it ourselves.” - Lao Tzu
Hey, New Jersey! My name is Aman Shah and I am thrilled to be an Administrative Assistant for the NJASC. I am currently a junior at Parsippany Hills High School. I have been apart of the Student Council since middle school and this year I have the honor to be the chair of the Student Action and Communications Committee. This means it is my job to bring any problems Parsippany Hills has to Administration. Besides Student Council I am involved in Deca, and a member of my class steering committee. Even though I am a part of these clubs I still find time to maintain good grades, and I have been on the honor roll since freshman year.
Also, I am a volunteer for the Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Squad. I am currently a Junior Volunteer for the squad, and I am hoping to become an EMT when I turn 18. Being apart of the Parsippany Volunteer Ambulance Squad is a lot of fun. When I am free I enjoy hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family. My Friends say that I am an outgoing, energetic, and funny person. I have two brothers and they are simply amazing.
I have attended LTC twice. I attended once as a delegate and once as an Administrative Assistant. I am excited to be returning to LTC this year as an Administrative Assistant and look forward to working with all of you this year. If you have any questions or just want to talk you can contact me at aaaman@njasc.org
