“Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.” - Gail Devers

Hello, New Jersey! I am Aisya Wilson and I am your Secretary for the exciting year of 2010. I am currently a Junior at Burlington Township High School where I have been on Student Government since my freshman year and I was also on Student Council in middle school. I am currently the Executive Secretary at my school which has given me to the tools to be the Secretary for the 2010 NJASC Executive Board. This year might go by fast, but I am sure that this team will make great changes and enjoy the journey along the way.

Although Student Government is a large part of my life I also take part in track, theater, and church! Helping people has become my passion and I actively participate in soup kitchens, mentoring younger youth, and participating in the environmental club [GO GREEN]. My father has also taught me that if I am low and succeed it is not as affective as aiming high and missing. This encouraged me to push forward and challenged myself and it paid off because I am a member of the National Honor Society.

I do have only a little brother who has become my best friend because he acts more like an older brother and always keeps me on track. My parents have dedicated themselves to making sure I strive for excellence and never settle for things that can be revolutionized. My advisor has become a second mom to me. She makes me feel comfortable and whenever I feel that I can't go any farther she reminds me that if I don't advance then the whole state of NJ will be held back!

I have faith that 2010 will be one of the best years the NJASC Executive Board has ever seen! You can contact me at secretary10@njasc.org.
