2010 Nick Nahrwold - Palmyra H.S.

"You are never a loser until you quit trying." - Mike Ditka

My name is Nick Nahrwold, and I'm a sophomore at Palmyra High School. This year has been filled with amazing memories that will never leave me. In the fall 2009 season I was part of the State Title soccer team at Palmyra. After that season, I started getting serious about running for state office. I worked many hours to perfect my speech and make sure my campaign was ready. It was ready, because I sit here now as your state treasurer.

I'm part of many other activities other than StuCo which include, soccer, winter track, and baseball. On some occasions, when I have time, I like to sit down and enjoy an episode of Rugrats. My parents play a huge role in my life, giving me the support in whatever I choose to do. They provide me with the best advice and I always carry it with me. My brothers are also a huge part of my life. They know when to make me laugh, when I'm feeling down, and they're always pushing me to do my best.

I look forward to working with the NJASC as treasurer and can't wait to meet a new world of people.

2009 Christian Truglio - West Morris Central H.S.

“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” - Harold R. McAlindon

My name is Christian Truglio, I’m at Junior at West Morris Central High School, and I am HERE for New Jersey! I can’t wait to get started as Treasurer, and get the full NJASC experience. So far I’ve loved everything high school has had to offer, whether it be school work, sports, or clubs, they have all brought their own unique memory. High school has had so much to offer, and being a part of NJASC is just another example of how enjoyable school really is.

Throughout high school, I’ve always maintained balance. Whether I’m playing football, taking a test, or just participating in a club, I always devote my full time and effort in order to help as much as possible. Right now I’m the President of our Junior class, and I participate in several groups and sports both inside and outside of school. All of these include FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), Relay for Life, Environmental Club, REACH, Science League, Habitat for Humanity, Track, and Football. All of these are a pleasure to be in, and I love being a part of all of them.

The upcoming year should be a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to working with the new 2009 State Officers. This whole year will be a lot of fun; with Nationals, LTC, and other events, 2009 will end up being a great time.
