"LTC was a really great experience for me. In the four days we spent there, I feel like I developed so much as both a leader and a person. I definitely came out of LTC far more outgoing than I had been before; it helped me break my shell. Also, the way all the delegates bonded during the session was amazing. It was like we were one big family, whether we were in our individual groups or with all the delegates. I will never forget the fun I had at LTC and what I got out of it. I strongly encourage anyone who has anything remotely to do with leadership to attend. Thank you so much for giving me the time of my life."
"In simplest terms, LTC was the most unique experience of my 17 years of living. It was amazing how 100+ strangers from across the state all became a family in less than 4 days. I learned a great amount of information at LTC not only about the art of leadership, but also about myself and the kind of person I am. Only looking back on it now can I truly appreciate and put value towards the time spent at LTC. There were many people I met that had a lasting impact on me. From the delegates I got to befriend and spend time with, to the JC's who put their hard work on display, to the SC's who provided their intelligence and experience for me to absorb. Every student should have the chance to experience something of this magnitude, and I will forever be grateful that I got to be a part of the tradition."
"LTC was the experience of a life time...the JCs and SCs are the most amazing people I have ever met...I loved listening to all the JCs memories from when they came to LTC...My house was amazing and all the girls and me had a a great time. The best thing I took away from the experience is something I hope to pass on to everybody in my school. Confidence. I learned to be calm during public speaking and i got some great ideas and ways to work with my student council in the year to come...I can't wait for others to get the experience I did because it was the most amazing experience you can have. What ever you do don't think twice about going. You'll love it...I promise!"
"LTC was so much more than I could have ever expected it to be. At LTC, we all started out as nothing but a group of strangers wondering what these crazy Junior and Senior Counselors were singing about at our first Flag Pole Frolic, but by the end of the amazing four days, we all left as a family. LTC is a place where stereotypes and cliques don’t exist. Everyone is so friendly and caring to one another. When I was at LTC, I felt that I could always be myself and not be judged by what I said or did- and for that I am grateful. Coming to LTC was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life and if I have the chance to go back, whether it is as a delegate or Junior Counselor, I would not give up that amazing opportunity. After attending LTC, I am now a better leader and I have made so many amazing friends who I now consider a part of my family."
"When I arrived at the TCNJ campus, I was terrified of being alone for four days with total strangers. By the end of the first class, I knew I was surrounded by awesome, fun kids who want to make a difference. LTC was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have ever been privileged to be apart of during the 15 years I’ve been on this earth. Not only were the advisors and staff wonderful people but the other delegates were utterly inspiring. When I came home, I talked about how great everything was so much that my cousin from California now wishes he could go. In just four short days, LTC definitely made a huge impact on my life. I couldn’t ask for anything more."
"I had such a great time at LTC! This was a great opportunity and a wonderful experience. I wasn't sure what to expect, but everyone was so helpful and nice, it made my first time easy. The girls in my townhouse were awesome, I now have new friends for life. I had so much fun, and learned so many skills I can apply to everyday activities. I loved everything we did. The classes on leadership were really well taught, eating meals together was like having family there, and of course the dance was great! I would strongly recommend that anyone with an opportunity to participate make a point to be there. Thank you again for such as great time, and I can't wait to come back."
"Amazing is simply too small of a word to describe the life changing experience that LTC gave me. When the Junior Counselors were telling me that LTC was one of the best experiences of their lives, I didn't quite understand how going to discussion groups, listening to Mike Press' jokes, constantly shouting out a color name, and singing wacky songs could do such a thing. And until you have experienced LTC, you probably won't understand it! Thankfully, I can say LTC was definitely one of the best times of my life. I look forward to bringing the educational, creative and outstanding ideas that it has instilled within me. The friendships that I have made, the lessons that I've learned, and the time that I spent at LTC will last forever...the memories created are truly irreplaceable"
"LTC was one of the best experiences of my life...it's really the feelings within the soul of all of the energy combined with the friendships and learning experiences that were created within the four days of this amazing conference...The energy, and all of the enthusiasm the staff put out for all of us delegates made everyone just "click" and get in with the fun...Every day was packed with laughter, learning, and love; all I know is that I couldn't remember when the day had started! I know that I and all of the delegates and staff from LTC Session 1 2008 will continue to lead, keep in touch, watch out for those "blue clouds," and always continue to "frolic" and spread peace...I'd love to come back to LTC again as a State Officer, or Junior Counselor if I have the opportunity!! I'm definitely filling out a JC application! I've made so many new friendships and some of the best memories I know l will never forget.
"I don't even know how to describe my time at LTC. It was one of the best times of my life. At first I didn't know how singing crazy songs, playing insane games, and sitting through classes could possibly be fun, but I was definetely wrong. It has been almost a month later, and I'm still singing the songs and playing the games, teaching them to little girls I coach at pop warner. The classes helped so much I'm actually somewhat excited for school to start so I can bring all the new ideas back. LTC helped me with my leadrership tremendously...I got a chance to meet other leaders, and really got to open up to them. Making new friends with the same interests as you from miles and miles away was so much fun. I tell everyone I meet about me experiences at LTC, and how it changed my life. The memories made there will never be erased and I wish that everyone could get a chance to go there and see what im talking about...I will never forget my time at LTC, it was the greatest time of my life."
"Within only four days, LTC was a life changing experience. To have over 100 complete strangers at one campus and everyone become one giant family at the end was absolutely amazing...the excitement with the JC's was ecstatic and was passed right onto every delegate...My personal favorite part about LTC is that no one, and I mean NO ONE, will judge you for how you act, talk, dance, scream the WAH! (by the way, respect the WAH) or any other aspect. Since no one will judge you, it is a time to bring out your wild-side and leave all of your worries behind. The classes that we took and the skills we learned will stick with me forever. Public speaking, managing your time, and meeting help are just some of the few skills that are taught...We will continue to encourage others to join the experience, and I am so grateful that I had the chance to experience LTC. It truly was a time that I will never forget."
"LTC was simply amazing. On the first day everyone was shy and quiet and we didn't know each other but in 4 days we came out of our shells and made so many new friends. This experience has been one of the best times of my life. It was so much fun. I didn't know what to expect in the classes but they were incredible too. I learned so much in such a short period of time. I want to continue with LTC as a junior counselor. The counselors were the best and with their enthusiam you just had to participate. The best thing was that everyone could be themselves and not be judged. I will never forget this experience. I can't wait to get more people from my school to go next year. Thanks for a great time!"
"LTC was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Everything about it helped me to become a stronger leader, and a stronger person. The classes trained me for important things for when I get back to school and start student council. The counselors taught me a lot, and I really enjoyed the laughter they created. My favorite part, though, was the great friends I made. I learned so much from them, and they really helped to make this experience such a memorable one. I became more outgoing and more confident, and I am extremely glad to have been able to be a part of something as great as LTC."
"There were numerous aspects which I found unique and useful in a multitude of ways...The fact that all delegates attend every class at LTC is new to me...I found it enjoyable to
"LTC was an amazing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. In just four days, I made friends from all over the state, learned lessons on how to improve our student council, and listened to speeches that impacted my experience as a whole. I will use all the objectives that we learned to help improve our student council to make it the best that I can. I became part of a family that I could only wish to be in. LTC was truly a life-changing experience that I will treasure because these skills will help me with the rest of my decisions and experiences in life. "
"LTC was an amazing experience I will never forget! I learned so many things that I can take back to my school and share...I was nervous about going because I wasn’t sure if I would fit in, but at L.T.C everyone fits in! I didn’t want to go home after meeting so many great new friends and sharing so many experiences and memories with them! Just the fact that 4 days can truly make a difference in your life must mean it is an unbelievable camp! Since I attended L.T.C, I am much more confident and outgoing...an unforgettable experience I know I will carry with me forever!"
"I had an awesome time at LTC! First, I learned so much - from how to successfully run and communicate in meetings to taking brilliant ideas and activities to include in the upcoming school year. In addition, the living space in the townhouses and the delicious food made my first sleepaway camp experience very comfortable and enjoyable...The Birthday Dinner and the dance were extremely fun. I met so many wonderful people, and I will never forget the memories and time spent at LTC. Oh and last but definitely not the least, CENTRAL JERSEY EXISTS!"
"LTC was an amazing experience. The classes all gave me a way to find myself, who I am and who I will be. The friends I made all had the same goal and the reason to come to LTC, to become the best leaders they could be. This experience will help me throughout my time as a Student Council member as well as providing lessons that will be valuable throughout life. When I am trying to think of a great way to make a meeting work, or bring together people with different leadership skills, I will think back to everything I learned at LTC. If I had the opportunity to attend LTC again, I’d definitely look forward to making even more friends, and taking back more memories, because I know both will last a lifetime."
"What can I say about LTC...I LOVED IT!!!!! Not only did I learn new things about my peers, but I learned so many new things about myself! Each class was full of beneficial activities and great conversation that I will remember for years to come. From time management to public speaking, LTC has prepared me for the successful life that I am bound to achieve. With the training that I received at LTC, I know that this year’s student council will be unstoppable! Everyone was determined and full of life each day I spent at TCNJ. The JCs just made my experience even better and how can I forget the great townhouses! They were AWESOME! I can go on and on about how much I enjoyed LTC, but I’ll stop here! I am proud to have attended LTC and I will remember it for the rest of my life"
"What a pleasant surprise LTC was! After coming in quite skeptical, I had an amazing time. So many beneficial classes, ideas, and experiences. But that wasn't the best part, meeting tons of new people and instantly bonding with them was. Over 100 strangers became a family within four days; something completely remarkable for middle and high school students...Incredible JCs provided entertainment, encouragement, and energy. The classes taught by the SCs gave me ideas that I can't wait to use when I return to school in the fall. Any one given the opportunity to go to LTC - GO! It'll be the best decision you could make for yourself and you won't regret it."
"My LTC experience was amazing! At first I was skeptical about staying away from family and friends for 4 days with people I did not know but little did I know what an amazing experience LTC would be. As soon as I was done unpacking I was told to go to an area in which everyone was "flagpole frolicking." From that moment on the fun never stopped. Not only was LTC extremely fun but the classes were so helpful. I learned how to be a strong leader in so many ways. The entire staff was so motivational. My favorite part was mealtime when everyone would sing and dance. We even had our own little stand up comedian. I met so many fellow leaders, some in which I still keep in touch with and will continue to. LTC was certainly a life changing experience that I will never forget, and I encourage all who have this opportunity to go! Thank you for all who made it possible for me to attend!"
"LTC was absolutely the most heartwarming, eye opening, fun filled, educational, rewarding, and incredible experiences of my life. From the moment I set foot on campus to the moment I left I was in what seemed to be another world, in which race, appearance, and all other superficial aspects of a person are melted away and we are free to be who we are. A world that has more enthusiasm and longing to be happy and bring happiness upon others then a room can contain. A world that has embedded in me its seed, and has taught me how to nourish that seed so it may mature into a strong, fruitful tree. LTC was more than a leadership camp; it was an experience that you can’t find anywhere else. It was something that has to start with a room full of students willing to become extraordinary, and a handful of people willing to guide them through this goal. From the classes, to the assemblies, to the meals, to the games, to the skits, to the funny jokes, to the songfests, to the people, LTC was truly an IDEAL experience that will last a life time. Thank you for giving something much grander then an extraordinary time, but a challenge to become a better leader and a better me."
"It was one of the most amazing experiences that I have ever had the pleasure to attend...I will absolutely bring back everything that I learned these past few days to my school...All of the classes and experiences will be vital to making my student council and overall school a much better place. Also, I will definitely notify my surrounding schools that are not currently involved with the NJASC and impress upon them the amazing opportunities that your organization as well as LTC can offer, because there really are so many."
"LTC was a life changing experience. In four short days, I became apart of a family that I never will forget. The LTC environment gives an opportunity to meet new people from across their state, be free of judgement, and learn leadership skills that will last a lifetime. The feeling of LTC lasts long after the final songfest, and I can't wait to bring LTC to my school. If given the chance to attend LTC, take it! LTC has changed me to be a more confident person and a passionate leader. The friends I made, the memories we shared, and the experience we all fell in love with is one that I would not trade for anything."
"LTC was amazing! When I came home it was so hard to describe to my family and friends because it was an experience you had to be there for. I ended up saying that I just fit in. Not one person felt left out or awkward mostly because we were all being awkward together. I will never forget the friendships I had and all the learning along the way. LTC was indescribable and I wish everyone could have that same experience of being part of something that truly changes your life."
"Participating in LTC was one of the best experiences of my life...Everyone broke out of the usual cliques from school, and became one group...The classes and activities taught me so much. I learned how to deal with people who don’t cooperate, plan things effectively, deal with conflict, work with different types of leadership, communicate successfully, and much MUCH more. I am going to have these skills for the rest of my life...LTC has helped me learn new ways to take charge and find solutions to problems. If someone asks me to define LTC - it was simply a moving, exciting, fantastic, experience that I will never forget."
"LTC 2008 was an amazing experience for me, I met lots of new people and had a ton of fun. It was better than I ever imagined and I learned a lot about how to be successful in a leadership position. There is so much that I can take away from this experience and bring back not only to my school, but also to everyday situations. I find myself constantly singing the circle songs that the JCs always sang, and when people ask me what they are, I can't help but smile and think if only they knew. This was an experience that I will never forget, everyone was so kind to me and the energy was amazing. Thank you so much LTC, for the awesome oppurtunity and memories."
"The short time that was spent at LTC, was an amazing experience. I cannot thank you enough for a great time. I made so many new friends, exchanged so many great ideas, and so much more! Thank you again for making this experience one that will never leave my heart."
"LTC is one of those things that I will never forget and that I will cherish forever. The friendships established, the values learned, and the confidence gained will all play a vital part in my life, whether it be during school or further on in life. I will never forget the amazing people I met, whether they were delegates, JCs, SCs, SOs, and everyone alike. It is truly incredible how life-long friendships can be established in the short period of only 4 days, and how we all became one thing: a huge, happy, and loving family...I personally became more confident in front of strangers and grew as a person, learning not to judge others and value everyone else as much as you value yourself...THANK YOU to all LTC staff members for a truly memorable, mind-blowing, and life changing experience"
"LTC exceeded my expectations...I can never forget the enjoyment I had! At first, I was nervous and tense about attending because I thought I wouldn’t fit in...the atmosphere was so open and accepting that I felt like I was back home to my family. I feel like I have grown so much as a better leader and person by attending LTC. I bonded with many interesting people, became a lot more outgoing and confident, and learned many new traits, which a strong leader should consist of. I cannot wait to bring the values and skills I learned about back to my school, but also everyday situations. LTC has changed me in many ways and I will always take what I’ve learned with me wherever I go. Thank you so much LTC for a life-changing opportunity and an unforgettable experience!"
