"I was a delegate in Session One (Go Aqua!) and I wanted to tell you just how much I loved LTC. It was undoubtedly life changing; I learned so much during classes and everything else in between. I think what I loved the most was that we had so many people to learn from; SCs with all their wisdom, JCs with all their energy and encouragement, and our fellow delegates with their companionship that helped us guide each other throughout the entire learning process. LTC is perfect from every angle...I will definitely be applying for a position as a JC; I can't think of a single place where I would rather be every summer than at LTC!"

Angelie Patel
West Windsor-Plainsboro High School - North
Plainsboro, NJ

"This was my second time at LTC, and it was such an amazing time! I learned so much being part of the LTC 2 program. I learned in more depth how to deal with different problems in my community as well as my school. I became a stronger leader as I built on the skills I learned in LTC 1. LTC is a great chance to meet incredible people and experience fascinating new things!"

Victoria Duffy
Shawnee High School
Medford, NJ

"I loved LTC! Between all of the amazing people I have met and the things I have learned, I can tell there has definitely been a difference made in my life. My confidence has been increased, all by just having fun. I would recommend this (LTC) to anyone. I cannot thank my counselor enough for giving me the opportunity to attend LTC!"

David Tull
Kingsway Regional High School
Woolwioch, NJ

"The very second I left LTC last year I knew that I wanted to come back. In LTC 2, you spotlight more on bringing the skills home. You focus on one project or event for your school or your community, and learn skills that help you to fulfill your mission. I personally learned many excellent ideas and techniques to help me improve my school. The classes are enjoyable and really teach you want you need to become the best leader possible. The games and songs will last with you forever. I still find myself humming LTC songs all the time. The friendships that you make in those four days will last way past the summer months, and seeing friends from previous years made LTC 2 that much better. I honestly know that those four days can completely change someone’s life. It unquestionably changed mine!"

"I will be the 2011-2012 President at Central Middle School in Parsippany, and I just wanted to take the time to tell you that my experience at LTC was amazing! It was one of the most fun things I have ever done in my entire life! The counselors were all very nice and I felt like a part of the LTC family the second I got off of the bus. I enjoyed all of the classes very much, as well as the opportunity to meet new people. I learned a lot and made many new friends! My experience as a delegate even inspired me to apply for a Junior Counselor position. LTC was a wonderful chance to learn about leadership and to make new friends."

Ally Schlosser
Central Middle School
Parsippany, NJ

"LTC was the best conference I have ever attended!  It was great fun to meet everyone and learn how to become a better leader with other students throughout the state who also want to positively influence their school. The best part is I can come back for LTC 2 next year and build on what I have learned this year as well as the previous year as a State Officer."

Russell Bauer
Seneca High School
Tabernacle, NJ

"My LTC experience was absolutely amazing! At first I really wasn’t excited to come here at all, as I didn’t think a leadership camp in the summer would be much fun. But I was definitely wrong! LTC is by far the best camp I have ever been to! I have learned so many valuable leadership skills here that I am excited to bring back to my student council this year as Vice President! I have made many lasting friendships and memories here that I will never forget. The whole staff was very enthusiastic and friendly and they really did a great job! I loved every minute of those four days at LTC, from the JC’s R.O.C.K., to the talent show, to Mike Press’ mail time! Everything about LTC was just so spectacular and I can’t wait to come back for more at LTC 2 in the future!"

Lisa Pernini
Branchburg Central Middle School
Branchburg, NJ

"LTC helped me to find a lot of new ways that I can help my school! I learned about new fundraising ideas from other kids and I learned better ways to lead from the amazing staff. My favorite part of coming to LTC was getting to meet all these amazing people that I will never forget! It was truly one of the best experiences of my life!"

Steph Krakower
West Windsor-Plainsboro High School - South
West Windsor, NJ

"LTC was definitely one of the best experiences of my life. The first few hours, I was nervous and thought the enthusiastic, crazy, and outgoing environment was not for me. I could not have been more wrong. By the morning of the second day, I was already sure I would make great new friendships, and become a better leader, while having an amazing time.  LTC has positively changed me, both as a person and as a leader. I have already noticed that I have acquired a better attitude, not only when it comes to leadership, but life in general. I am excited to exercise and share all of my new leadership skills with my student council and community as a whole. The no-judgment atmosphere, all of the great delegates and counselors, and all of the classes packed with information will surely be missed. I am already looking forward to next summer for LTC 2!"

Emily Cassidy
Mount Olive High School
Flanders, NJ

"I will never forget my first experience at LTC. At first, leaving home was disappointing, but in the end leaving LTC was even worse. I made many new friends and learned so much about leadership in four short days. I am so excited to share this knowledge with my school next year. Days after I got home, I told my family all about the classes, activities, games, and people there until they were begging me to stop. There was so much to say, but it’s hard to believe it was only four days. I will treasure each second I had with the JCs, SCs, SOs, and my new friends. The best part of LTC is that everyone has a chance to shine and be themselves; there is shower curtain decorating for artists, skits for actors, LTC Games for the athletes, games for the fun loving people, and the Talent Show for other hobbies and interests. In September, when people ask me what the best part of the summer was, I will immediately say LTC!"

Eileen Wang
Brooklawn Middle School
Parsippany, NJ

"LTC was absolutely the most life changing camp of my life. The second I got home, I missed everything about it. The learning was incredible, the people were great, just the overall atmosphere of it gives you a kind of confidence that you can't experience anywhere else. I will definitely remember my LTC delegate experience for the rest of my life, and I hope to have more LTC experiences in the future."

Patty Terhune
Southern Regional High School

"Going to LTC opened my eyes to a whole new way of leadership. The conference showed me how much fun leading can be and taught how I can change my school, town, and even the state! The skills you learn at LTC are guaranteed to make you a better leader, and you learn these skills though fun games and classes. The LTC experience is like none other - you will make friends, memories, and learn leadership skills that will last you a lifetime. It is a great experience and I'm glad I got the opportunity to go to LTC."

Nick Braughton
Stewartsville Middle School
Stewartsville, NJ

"This was actually my second year going because I attended LTC2. After attending my first year of LTC last year, I wanted more and was ecstatic being able to come for a second year! I HIGHLY reccommend that those of you who have been to LTC go on to attend LTC2 because it was a phenomenal experience! The classes were totally different and beneficial on many levels. I felt that because the rest of my group had already been to LTC, we had a connection that allowed us all to become very close. I know we will all remain close and I am so thankful for the friendships I made. LTC has changed my life and it has been such a fun experience, I don't know how anyone could pass up the opportunity to go! So if you are the slightest bit interested in going to LTC or LTC2, you MUST go because you will not regret this incredible experience!"

Lenna Daniels
High Point Regional High School
Sussex, NJ

"What I enjoyed the most at LTC was the positive energy flowing through everything. The random dance parties, song nights, and the circle games really made the LTC leadership experience extra fun! In just four days I was able to build great relationships with people I had never met as well as build important skills such as public speaking, decision making, and conflict resolution in order to become a better leader."

Nicole Dei
Mount Olive High School
Flanders, NJ

"Amazing. It is the one and only word I used to describe LTC. 'You don't even understand. It was just so amazing', I told everyone repetitively when I got home from camp. They all asked how singing camp fire songs and dancing made my week at LTC so fun, and once again all that came out was, 'It was amazing.' I went into LTC as a reserved girl, minding my own business, and left a completely different person. I was a terrible dancer, but I embraced it. I was a terrible singer, but I embraced it. I made friends that will last a life time. It's weird being home and not staying up all night talking to the girls in my house and having to wake up early the next morning, being tired, but no one care because we were having so much fun. I miss LTC, and everyone there and I can not wait to go back next summer!"

Samantha Zelinski
Ocean City High School

"I can honestly say that LTC has been the highlight of my entire summer! I am actually excited to go back to school so I can share all of the lessons I learned at LTC with the rest of my Student Council.  I am confident that I can share this information without getting the jitters thanks to the Speaking With Ease class. Being the 56th delegate was also another unique experience that forced me to utilize the lessons I learned in class and put them into action. Besides the lessons I learned in the classrooms, I gained something even more special. Friendships. I was amazed at how quickly everyone bonded and how close we still all are. I have kept in touch with both delegates and staff from LTC through the LTC Facebook page. I would not trade in my experiences at LTC for anything else!"

Rachel Yee
Rancocas Valley High School

"The LTC 2 experience was by far my favorite and most enriching year of LTC. The delegate camaradarie was at an all time high in LTC 2.  We all bonded quickly and did not want to waste any time because we know how quickly the four days at LTC come and go.  I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and thought the objective to design our own leadership opportunity was great.  I was able to talk to both my class advisors as well as my fellow delegates in order to gain knowledge and advice about developing a school pride committee that will work to raise student morale, participation, and ease the transition for incoming freshmen into high school.  All the delegates were able to offer each other useful advice that we all plan on bringing back to each of our individual schools.  Not only did we leave LTC 2 with a wealth of information and fun, but we left with friendships that we plan to maintain for years to come!"

Casey Brands
Warren Hills Regional High School
Washington, NJ

"My time at LTC was a blast, the food was excellent and so were the games and classes.  The best part was that I got to be the food critic with my best bud Alex.  The times were great with Mike Press, all of the Junior/Senior Counselors and State Officers. They inspired me to want to come back to LTC and run for State Office...All I wanted to do is stay at LTC it was all wonderful.  LTC prepared me a lot to be the best leader that I can possibly be, LTC taught me a lot of things, LTC was a fun experience for me, and I just loved it. Woohoo!"

Ernst Lozin
Heywood Avenue School

"I couldn’t get enough of LTC last year, so I came back for more and attended LTC 2! It was one of the best decisions I’ve made this summer and if there’s anything I’m absolutely sure about, LTC does not disappoint. LTC was a whirlwind of fun without a single dull moment! And I truly learned a lot as we utilized all the skills from last year and got down to business. We really focused on what we could do to better ourselves, our schools, and our community. We made a plan, presented it to our peers and advisors, and left determined to put it into action. LTC doesn’t stop there though, it’s what I’ve learned outside of the classroom and while getting to know my townhouse brothers and sisters that have unquestionably helped me grow this summer. Being a part of something this great was such an honor and I’d like to thank all the JCs, SCs, and staff for making it possible! I’m really sad that this was my last year as a delegate, but I encourage EVERYONE to come and experience LTC for themselves!"

Hannah Kim
Mount Olive High School

"My four days at LTC were truly amazing.  I came nervous and not knowing what to expect; if I would make friends, etc.  But when the fourth and final day arrived, I was so upset to leave as I hugged my new friends and said goodbye.  I learned so much at LTC, such as speaking with ease and new leadership skills.  I left LTC a completely new (and improved) person!  I had a blast at the LTC games, during meal times listening to Mike Press, at the dance, and basically during every other activity!  I really related to the kids at LTC, and especially got to know the other girls in my townhouse.  It was the highlight of my summer!"

"A little over a year ago, I fell in love with an experience known as the NJASC Leadership Training Conference (LTC). The people, the energy, the cheers, the dancing, the shouting, the inspiration: those four days left me bouncing in my skin and desperate for more. This year, after coming back as a delegate to LTC 2, I still find myself in awe of my luck. To be able to share in something so much more than me, so powerful and admirable, not once but twice, well, it’s easy to see why I feel like a winner of a lottery I thought I wasn’t eligible for. So to all of those who played a part in my experience, this year and last (from my amazing green family to Mike Press and his antics to all the administrators who dedicate their time) I would just like to say thank you…for thinking it was worth your while to change my little world."
