NASC Region 2
2010 Region 2 Conference - Ocean City, NJ
NJASC is excited to welcome the annual Region 2 conference to New Jersey in 2010 for the first time. On the weekend of April 23-25, Ocean City High School will host this gathering of about 60 student leaders from the five states of NASC Region 2.
This year's Region 2 conference will feature leadership training workshops, roundtables to share ideas, energizers, icebreakers, and team-building activities that incorporate the attractions that have made Ocean City a popular vacation destination since the 1880's. The student council of Ocean City High School has taken a very active role in the planning of this conference, and is working very hard with their adviser Matt Purdue to ensure that everyone attending this year's conference has a great experience at the REAL Jersey Shore!
During this conference, there will be two Regional Selection Committee meetings - an "official" one to choose the Region 2 adviser representative on NASC Advisory Board for 2010-2012, and an "unofficial" one to choose a student representative that will work together with the adviser representative over the next two years to ensure a strong student voice for our region.
The "unofficial " student representative will be chosen first, and will then be part of the interview and selection process that leads to the selection of the "official" NASC Region 2 adviser representative.
INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION FORMS for this conference have been sent to Executive Directors for each state in Region 2. If you are interested in participating in this Conference, please contact your State Executive Director for more information - all registration is done through them for their state. The deadline for states to submit their Delegation Roster/Payment forms will be March 29, 2010.

For administrative purposes, the National Association of Student Councils (NASC) divides the United States into eight regions. Each region is represented on the NASC Advisory Board, our current representatives being Mike White (advisor, PA) and Stephen DeSalvo (student, NY). The New Jersey Association of Student Councils is a proud member of NASC Region 2, which includes the following five state Student Council associations: |

2009 Region 2 Conference - Shillington, PA
